Find over 8 million CAD models for Nicomatic’s connectors on SnapEDA

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Nicomatic, an industry leader in interconnect solutions to provide over 8 million ready-to-use symbols and footprints for their micro connectors.

Nicomatic is a full in-house international interconnect solutions provider. Their portfolio is dedicated to multiple configurations of board-to-board, board-to-wire, and wire-to-wire connectors as well as man-machine interface switching technologies. Their parts are targeted to multiple sectors including aerospace, defense, health care, and more.

Traditionally, engineers that have wanted to integrate these connectors into their printed circuit board designs would have needed to create them from scratch, a process that typically takes between 6 to 8 hours based on feedback from our community. However, with this new collaboration with Nicomatic, engineers  can now configure the connector of their preference from Nicomatic’s website and download the symbol and footprint for it instantly from SnapEDA. Over 8 million CAD models for Nicomatic’s 220 and 320 two-row micro connector series are planned with this launch. Options range from 4 to 60 for signal contacts and 4 to 54 for coaxial or power contacts with locking or racking fixings.

The CAD model generator has been designed and verified by SnapEDA’s engineering team. The symbols and footprints were designed following a combination of Nicomatic’s recommended patterns, IPC-7351B, and SnapEDA’s internal standards. Each model can be downloaded for a wide range of PCB formats including Altium, Autodesk Eagle and Fusion 360, Cadence OrCad and Allegro, SiemensEDA PADS and DXDesigner, Proteus, and over 15 more tools.

How to generate the parts:

1.Go to Nicomatic’s micro connector configurator.

2. Select either the 220 or 320 series and choose the part configuration of your preference.

3. Once done, click on the SnapEDA Website button on the PCB footprint section to generate the CAD model.

4. This will redirect you to the SnapEDA website where you can select Download Symbol and Footprint and choose the format of your preference.

And that’s it! The CAD model will automatically download on your device for use in your PCB design tool.
